    Barry McCarthy, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, professor of psychology, and a certified sex and marital therapist. He is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2009 Smart Marriages Impact Award. Most recently, he is the author of Rekindling Desire, 2nd Edition, and Therapy with Men After 60.

    Lisa Ferentz, LCSW-C, is the president and founder of the Institute for Advanced Psychotherapy Training and Education, which provides continuing education to mental health professionals. She was named "Social Worker of the Year" by the Maryland Society for Clinical Social Work in 2009 and has been in solo private practice specializing in trauma for 30 years. She is the author of Letting Go of Self-Destructive Behaviors and Treating Self-Destructive Behaviors in Trauma Survivors.

  3. Parenting Teenagers Author Interview: John Coleman

    John Coleman, author of Why Won't my Teenager Talk to Me?, has an international reputation for his work with parents and young people. He is a trained clinical psychologist and is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. He is the Founder of a research center studying adolescents and their families, and during his career he has also run a special school for troubled teenagers and worked as a policy advisor for government. In addition to running workshops for parents of teenagers, he has created two series for TV and written books and developed videos on the adolescent years. John’s pioneering work has been widely recognized and in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2001 he was awarded an OBE for services to young people. Listen to the insightful podcast with John Coleman.
