Why? Ecomimesis is one of the key strategies for green design and is designing to imitate the properties, processes and structure of ecosystems.
If you had to choose an eco design or project in the world, what would you choose and why?
My latest project (the ‘G’ project) as it incorporates a vertical green ecoinfrastructure in the builtform with the creation of a variety of new habitats in it for the key species endemic to that locality together with the setting of biodiversity targets and identifying ways to achieve these targets over the life of the development
Who do you find most influential and why?
Biologists, ecologists, philosophers and scientists such as E.P. Odum (ecologist), C. H. Waddington (biologist), Alfred North Whitehead (philosopher on the ‘Philosophy of the Organism’), Ludvig von Bertallanfy (Scientist).
Tell us one unknown fact about yourself.
I tell everybody not to give me anything as presents that I cannot use (whether for Christmas, birthdays, etc.).
