A particularly useful touch is the listing of assessment instruments in table form, included in each of the chapters on specific applications. Many of the chapters cover a dizzying range of possible assessments, leaving the reader wanting more discussion of how to make choices between them or between types of assessment strategies. But it is not a bad thing for a book on such a topic as this to leave the reader interested, curious and wanting to learn more.
