Description

Turning Cultural Diversity into Competitive Advantage shows professionals and managers how to negotiate the impact of cultural difference in their organization to reap the benefits of this diversity. While organizations have increased their knowledge and awareness of diversity issues, this book guides professionals in applying this knowledge to solve the problems that arise from cultural differences.

Drawing on their vast experience, Laroche and Yang offer practical solutions that can be implemented at the individual or organizational levels. The book is divided into three parts:

  • Part I examines the challenges and opportunities that result from international interactions, where people work in the same organization, but live in different countries
  • Part II looks at cultural differences in North America specifically, where people who come from different countries work together in the same office
  • Part III focuses on integrating immigrants into the North American workforce

This is a book that will interest professionals, especially in human resources, who want to take advantage of the knowledge and skills that cultural diversity brings into an organization.
