Publishers always want to categorize their books and authors, and you’ll notice that we’ve split this catalogue up by sub-discipline. We’re confident that there’s something for everyone within these pages and look forward to your feedback.
One of the ways in which an academic publisher can add value is quality control and product development and at Routledge we’re proud that all of our books undergo peer review. The range and quality of our programme is also aided by our commitment to the academic community in the form of supporting conferences and workshops – we hope you will see evidence of this in your own travel plans this year. The biggest conference of the year is the Academy of Management, whose theme, “The Power of Words”, sits well with our goal as a global academic publisher across the humanities and social sciences. Another element of our publishing is our growing “Routledge Paperbacks Direct” programme – we use this to re-release a significant number of our more specialist books in cheaper paperback versions and you’ll notice many of these throughout this year’s catalogue.
I recommend looking out for our prestigious and popular Routledge Companion volumes. We will publish a good number of these in 2014 and they provide truly comprehensive and authoritative coverage of areas such as auditing and human resource development.
