Welcome to our companion site that supports studying and teaching with our textbooks and revision guides by Phil Hughes MBE and Dr. Ed Ferrett. These resources have helped thousands achieve the following NEBOSH qualifications:
- National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
By registering on the Further Resources page you will be able to download and print the forms and worksheets from the books. Also available are animations that help with the practical assessment and identification of workplace hazards.
In addition, this website allows you to explore the full range of resources we offer for these qualifications, including sample presentations created in PowerPoint©, and you can also hear directly from the authors by viewing the author videos. Free posters are available on request for those training centres that are using our materials.
We hope you find this site useful. If you have any questions, comments or feedback for the authors or publisher, please contact us.

For the attention of readers of the 5th Edition of Introduction to Health and Safety at Work, the authors issue the following statement.
Clarification of the Construction content in the NEBOSH National General Certificate
NEBOSH has asked us to make it clear that although the Construction element has been removed from the syllabus, there are still Construction topics in the current NEBOSH National General Certificate syllabus. The principal Construction topics appear in Chapter 1 and Chapter 6 and are examinable.
From January 2014, additional Construction topics will also be examinable in the recently published revised NGC syllabus. These additional topics are currently in section 14.2 of Chapter 14 and appear on pages 416–423 (sub-sections 14.2.1–14.2.3).
