Navigating Around the SLP
Using the main panel on the sidebar, place the cursor over a section heading under Book Contents. You will see a drop-down menu listing chapters in that section. Select a chapter and the sidebar will display the Chapter Contents. Each chapter includes the following:
What's It About?
A full chapter summary.
Chapter Topics
A menu of topics within the chapter. To access the text for each topic click on the desired topic from the "Chapter Contents" topic menu in the sidebar. You can then scroll through the topic, which is arranged according to the following structure:
- Ask yourself
Stimulating questions on the topic themes. - What you need to know
A breakdown of the topics into subheadings. The text contains concise coverage of topics and includes predictions, clearly presented research evidence, and evaluation sections. - So what does this mean?
Highlights the conclusion of the subheading.
These include page number cross references to Psychology: An International Perspective. They also provide an integrative framework for other multimedia materials in the student resources package. Embedded within each chapter are links to the following resources:
